
ASHLEY KALOSIEH, M.A., CCC-SLP
Ashley Kalosieh, founder and owner of Speech Path, LLC, received her B.A. at Boston College and her M.A. at the University of Connecticut. She has worked as a Speech and Language Pathologist both in the public schools and in private practice for over 22 years. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In addition, she holds a professional SLP certificate from the CT State Department of Education and an SLP license from the CT Department of Public Health. She is licensed and registered to work with clients virtually via teletherapy who live in CT. She also has prior certification in elementary and special education
in MA and NJ.
Ashley is certified to work with all ages and speech and language needs. She has more extensive experience and specialization in working with school age children through young adults in pragmatic language/social communication skills, as well as, with stuttering/cluttering/fluency disorders. She also has significant experience in a range of other speech and language needs, which includes the diagnoses of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Autism, Down Syndrome, articulation/ phonological disorder, receptive/ expressive language disorder, among others.

Ashley's private practice is unique in that she is the sole provider. When you contact Speech Path, LLC for speech therapy, you will be receiving high quality services from Ashley herself. This ensures consistency of clinicians and thus therapy, often leading to more efficacious outcomes.

Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two teenage children and two bulldogs. She loves to exercise, read, and spend time with friends. She also enjoys volunteering, as she is currently volunteering with her daughter for Special Olympics and has previously served as a board member and secretary of the non profit organization, Favarh, which helps adults with IDD.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE SERVICES
Ashley provides comprehensive speech and language evaluations and efficacious individual/group therapy for preschool children through adults.
For ongoing clients, she can consult with team members and attend IEP/504/informal meetings
upon parent request. She also offers observations/direct therapy in clients' natural academic/day program/work environments to facilitate functional communication and collaboration with other professionals who work with the clients.
Services are always performed by Ashley who has 22+ years of experience as a certified SLP.
ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY
Since receiving a certificate from the University of Denver in Animal Assisted Therapy, Ashley now specializes in AAT as a therapeutic method in her SLP practice for clients who benefit from working with animals to achieve their individual goals. She works with registered therapy dog teams to facilitate the AAT interactions.
Ashley has also been approved for a facility dog (through a non profit service dog organization) and is currently waiting to be matched with a dog.

VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS
(for clients not on caseload)
Ashley provides virtual consultations with potential clients/families who are not on her caseload, in order to share information regarding speech/language development and answer questions regarding the client's individual needs.
She also provides consultations with other SLPs or related professionals as an expert service on AAT implementation.
The above consultations are not reimbursed by insurance companies.
TELETHERAPY
Ashley uses a HIPAA compliant platform where she engages with her clients using both audio and video, as well as interactive activities, to provide therapy. Ashley prefers for the client to attend in person for the initial evaluation before she recommends teletherapy to determine if it is a good fit for the client. Please contact Ashley regarding software requirements, as well as, insurance coverage as it may be different for teletherapy for your specific plan. Ashley is able to provide teletherapy for clients living in CT only.
PARENT COMMUNICATION AND
TEAM COLLABORATION
Speech Path, LLC values the importance of parent communication and collaboration with all members of the client's team. With parent consent, Ashley will work closely with teachers, specialists, doctors, other family members, and/or anyone who is involved in the client's care. This is vital for the identification of functional and/or academic skills in need and carryover of these skills to other natural contexts.
